BTS’ J-Hope to headline Lollapalooza music festival in US; TXT to perform too


K-pop superstars and Grammy-nominated group BTS’ J-Hope will headline Lollapalooza, a four-day music festival that will be held in July in the US.

Lollapalooza will be held on July 28 to 31 in Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois. Organizers have announced the lineup of artists who will be performing in the music festival.

They announced that J-Hope will perform on July 31 to become the “first South Korean artist to headline a main stage at a major US music festival.”

“We're thrilled to announce #jhope of @bts_bighit will headline #Lolla 2022 on Sun, July 31st! His performance will make history, cementing him as the first South Korean artist to headline a main stage at a major U.S. music festival,” Lollapalooza announced on Twitter.

According to J-Hope, “This is going to be my first performance at @lollapalooza It's a thrilling new challenge that I think will become a really memorable chapter in my musical history! I'm gonna give you guys a great show. Get ready to get crazyyyyyy!”

Based on the schedule, J-Hope will perform on the Bud Light Seltzer stage for one hour from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. on July 31. Before him, the performers will be Erica Banks, DJO, Charli XCX and The Kid Laroi.

Meanwhile, K-pop boy band Tomorrox X Together will perform at Lollapalooza on July 30 on the Solana X Perry’s stage at 7:45 p.m.

The four-day music festival will showcase artists including Metallica, Lil Baby, Jazmine Sullivan, Billy Strings, Zhu, Dua Lipa, Machine Gun Kelly, Glass Animals, J. Cole, Kygo, Big Sean, Kaskade, Green Day and Jane's Addiction.
