BOC clears overstaying container vans in Laguna depot

The Bureau of Customs-Port of Manila (BOC-POM) has started clearing all overstaying containers vans at the Asian Terminals, Inc. (ATI) Laguna Inland Clearance Depot.

POM District Collector Michael Angelo Vargas said the container vans came from other countries and piled up at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Vargas said the ATI in Laguna is the extension of the Manila South Harbor.

He said they were able to auction and disposed 97 overstaying containers in ATI Laguna so far.

The move resulted in the BOC-POM receiving an award for the effort.
