Church leader calls for prayers for an end to the Russia-Ukraine war
Caritas Manila executive director and Radio Veritas president Fr. Anton Pascual have called on the faithful to unite in prayer for peace and for an end to the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.

The ongoing unrest between the two countries has caused the rise in the prices of fuel and subsequently, in the prices of commodities, Fr. Pascual said.
“Let us fervently pray for an end to the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. Through the grace and mercy of God, Jesus, the Prince of peace, let us pray for all those affected by the steep rise in fuel prices, particularly our public utility drivers, that they will be able to rise above this crisis,” the Church leader said over Radio Veritas.
Caritas Manila, the social action arm of the Archdiocese of Manila will be on hand to assist those who are badly affected by the crisis, Fr. Pascual said.
“The Church, especially Caritas Manila, will assist those who are severely affected by the war like our drivers. May the crisis brought about by the war be resolved soonest and the prices of fuel and gasoline normalize. Let us pray for an end to the war,” he added.
