CALASIAO, Pangasinan – Philippine National Police provincial director Colonel Richmond l. Tadina on Monday ordered a follow-up investigation on a shooting incident where an elderly man who was a small town lottery (STL) representative and resident of Brgy. Buenlag here died.
The victim, identified as Amadito Caragay, 63, was shot several times by still unidentified gunmen about 8:10 p.m. on Friday, June 3.
Amadito sustained gunshot wounds on different parts of his body that caused his instantaneous death, police said.
The victim was said to be a former employee of Peryahan ng Bayan before becoming connected with the STL.
The gun allegedly used in the crime was cal .30 carbine as evidenced by the six fired cartridge cases recovered at the crime scene.
Police have yet to determine the motive of the crime and are still validating reports if the killing of the victim had something to do with his work as STL sales representative in Brgy. Buenlag, Calasiao, Pangasinan.
