Bautista, Tulfo meet ahead of turnover of DSWD leadership

Outgoing Department of Social Welfare and Development Secretary Rolando Joselito Bautista and incoming Secretary Erwin Tulfo (DSWD)

Outgoing Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rolando Joselito Bautista and newly appointed DSWD Secretary Erwin Tulfo have discussed the details of the transition of leadership on Monday, June 6.

Tulfo and his transition team were welcomed by Bautista and DSWD employees at the DSWD Central Office in Quezon City to prepare for the change of management in the department.

Bautista turned over the DSWD transition handbook to ensure the smooth and continuous delivery of social services under the new administration.

The handbook, which was crafted during a five-day intensive workshop, provides a comprehensive overview, discussion on milestone accomplishments, and relevant information on the major functions and services of the DSWD.

It also contains the DSWD’s initiatives and programs that the outgoing administration wishes to be continued and sustained by the incoming administration.

Moreover, the transition handbook aims to serve as a guide for a well-coordinated change of leadership while the new management treads on the path toward having all Filipinos free from hunger and poverty, having equal access to opportunities, enabled by a fair, just, and peaceful society.

After the meeting, Bautista and Tulfo toured some of the DSWD’s important offices, such as the Agency Operations Center and the Office of the Secretary.
