2 arrested in buy-bust operation in Pasay City

A rider and his companion were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Southern Police District Drug Enforcement Unit (SPD-DEU), resulting in the confiscation of P102,000 worth of shabu in Pasay City on Sunday (June 5).

SPD director Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg identified the suspects as John Philip Ilagan Infante, 21, rider, of Parañaque City, and Marlon Gutierrez Tandingan, 29, a resident of Pasay.

Macaraeg said the suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the SPD-DEU in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) at about 11:40 p.m. at Saint Peter Street in Barangay 179, Maricaban, Pasay City.

The police confiscated from the suspects 15 grams of shabu amounting to P102,000 and a .22-caliber gun with five pieces of live ammunition.

The suspects were brought at the SPD-DEU custodial facility after their arrest and will be charged with illegal possession of drugs and firearm.
