Lyceum star Enoch Valdez stole the show as the first-ever NCAA All-Star Game between Team Heroes and Team Saints ended up in stalemate, 109-all, on Sunday at the FilOil Flying V Centre.

After a fun-filled and exciting first three quarters that saw multiple highlight plays and electrifying dunks, the NCAA stars from both sides of the team turned it on as they engaged in a nip-and-tuck affair in the waning minutes of the game.
Valdez had the chance to win it for Heroes but he couldn’t get the shot in time which resulted in a 24-second violation, leaving a window of opportunity for the Saints with still six seconds left in the game. Ralph Penuela however missed the potential game-winning layup at the buzzer.
Valdez finished with 16 points and nine rebounds while Allen Liwag showcased why he was called up to the Gilas pool after chipping in 15 points and a pair of highlight dunks.
Letran star and Season 97 MVP Rhenz Abando also provided a pair spectacular plays including a 360 dunk that wowed the crowd in the second quarter.
Heroes coach Randy Alcantara and Saints tactician Bonnie Tan went all-NCAA players in the final two minutes which resulted in a back-and-forth affair.
A Warren Bonifacio and-1 play gave the Heroes a slim 109-105 lead inside the final minute but a pair of free throws from Perpetual stars Kim Aurin and Jielo Razon tied the knot at 109-all.
For the side of GMA celebrities, it was Jose Sarasola who shone the brightest for the Saints with 14 points while Aurin and Penuela added 13 and 11 points respectively.
