PH Red Cross sends preliminary aid to distressed Bulusan Volcano eruption victims
The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Sorsogon Chapter conducted a rapid assessment of affected areas of the Bulusan Volcano phreatic eruption in Sorsogon on Sunday, June 5.

Meanwhile, the PRC Albay-Legazpi City Chapter already sent the PRC Meals on Wheels to assist the Sorsogon Chapter in providing immediate food relief to the victims.
According to PRC, clean drinking water and face masks are what the distressed victims need at the moment.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported a phreatic eruption at the said volcano at 10:37 a.m which lasted for 17 minutes.
Alert level status was raised from zero to one meaning that it's at an “abnormal” condition. (Luisa Cabato)
