Iselco II general manager denies involvement in murder of RTC judge's wife in Isabela

ISABELA -- Isabela II Electric Cooperative Inc. (ISELCO II) General Manager David Solomon Siquian has denied involvement in the murder of Internal Audit Manager Agnes Cabauatan-Palce.

According to Siquian's official statement issued to a local radio station, he said that Palce is not just a co-worker but a family to him.

Citing his action when he heard about the shooting incident, he said he immediately coordinated with Judge Ariel Palce, husband of the victim and to his brother whom he condoled.

Siquian at the same time expressed sadness over a report that Michael Paguirigan, a member of the Iselco II board of directors, had committed suicide.

Both Michael and Siquian are being implicated in the death of Palce based on the extrajudicial confession made by the arrested gunman and the driver.

Siquian claimed that the alleged accusation on him had caused pain and anxiety to their family.

Earlier, Isabela Provincial Police Director was interviewed by the local media wherein he confirmed the alleged filing of a case against Michael Paguirigan and Siquian who were both named as the alleged masterminds in the killing.

Siquian maintained that he was not part of the crime.

He said he is even willing to help the authorities in their investigation.

Siquian stressed that the accusation is unfair and baseless.

He had opened his line of communication for any questions or concerns.

Agnes Palce was on her way home in Tumauini, Isabela when two unidentified gunmen riding on motorcycle overtook her car on Wednesday, May 25.

The back-rider shot her at a close range, and the police said Agnes was hit on her right jaw.

The victim was rushed to the nearest hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
