BACOLOD CITY – An alleged drug personality was found dead in Barangay Recreo, Pontevedra, Negros Occidental Saturday, June 4.

Police Lt. Rowell Peniero, deputy police chief of Pontevedra, said Dela Torre was found with 20 stab wounds in his chest, head, and arms.
Peniero said the victim and the suspect who was later identified as Bobby Casimero, 45, of Barangay Miranda, came from a wake.
However, while they were on their way home, they had a misunderstanding when Dela Torre attempted to leave Casimero.
Peniero said that Casimero stopped for a while to urinate when Dela Torre tried to drive Casimero’s tricycle. This irked Casimero which triggered him to stab Dela Torre.
Peniero said that both of them were also under the influence of liquor.
Peniero said they are looking into revenge as possible motive behind the incident since the victim allegedly killed the suspect's brother in 1997.
Peniero said that Casimero was arrested at his workplace in Barangay Recreo later that day.
Peniero said that Casimero was arrested in 2018 for a drug offense and was later released through plea bargain while Dela Torre was under the station's drugs watchlist.
Murder charges will be filed against Casimero, according to Peniero.
