Parañaque City gov’t conducts drive-thru booster shot vaccination

The team of Paranaque City’s Mobile Vaccination Program (MVP) conducted drive-thru Covid-19 booster shot vaccination on Friday, June 3.

Mayor Edwin Olivarez said the team of MVP headed by Dr. Jefferson Pagsisihan, Ospital ng Paranaque 1 and 2 medical director; and Eva Nono, head of the External Homeowners Affairs Office (EHAO), led the drive-thru booster shot vaccination in Barangay BF Homes.

Olivarez said the drive-thru vaccination aimed to administer the first and second booster shots to all senior citizens and persons with disability who could not visit the regular vaccinations sites.

He said the MVP is also going around the city to give booster shots to other residents.

The mayor called on the residents to continue observing the basic health protocols to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the city.

Olivarez said that based on the report of the City Health Office (CHO), the city recorded only two new active Covid-19 cases on June 3, bringing the total number of infected individuals to 14.

He said nine of the 16 barangays in the city have already recorded zero cases.

The mayor said the communities with active cases of Covid-19 are Barangays San Isidro with three cases; Don Bosco, Merville, Moonwalk and Sun Valley with two; Baclaran, BF Homes and the unknown barangay with one each.
