Netizens searching for identity of Korean actress Jang Na-ra's husband-to-be

Korean actress and singer Jang Na-ra, star of the dramas “Sell Your Haunted House,” “VIP” and “Confession Couple,” announced she is getting married to a non-celebrity at the end of this month and netizens have been searching for his identity.

On June 3, Jang Na-ra, 41, announced her upcoming marriage on Instagram.

“I'd like to share some personal but good news with you today. I'm getting married!” she said.

She added, “After two years of dating with a friend who is six years younger than me, who works in video, we promised to be life partners! I fell in love with his bright smile, sincerity and good heart, and above all, a sincere attitude that puts all his heart into his work.”

“I wanted to honestly convey this feeling of bliss to all of you who are precious to me, to be able to share life with a wonderful friend! We will live happily and joyfully!” the actress said.

She reminisced that “it seems like just yesterday that I made my debut as a celebrity, without anything special, but many years have passed. Thank you so much for caring for me and supporting me for a long time, and for always watching over me kindly.”

Jang Na-ara said she will be returning to work after her wedding.

“I'm planning to come back to you with a fun project right after the wedding, so I'm working hard to prepare for it! I will become an actor who does my best in every moment with a heart of gratitude more heavily than before,” she said.

About her fiance, Jang Na-ara said, “I'm really sorry that I can't tell you in detail because I'm worried that my friend, a non-celebrity, might be uncomfortable at work because of me. I sincerely ask for your kind understanding.”

Korean media outlet YTN Star reported that Jang Na-ra’s fiance was a cinematographer whom she met in the drama “VIP,” which aired in 2019.

Actor and director Joo Ho-sung, Jang Na-ra’s father, told YTN Star, "I'm so delighted. I've seen her boyfriend since when they started going out with one another, as Na-ra had introduced him to me and my wife. He even came to Seong-won’s wedding two years ago," SBS News reported.

"He's got a great personality. He treats his parents well as well. I've met them, and they're two amazing people. His background is no special, but I like him a lot. We don't want to make the wedding big, because he isn't a celebrity. We're trying to act thoughtfully of him as much as possible,” he said.
