Kris Aquino shares new details about health issues: 'Time is now my enemy'


Kris Aquino was back on social media Friday to update fans about the "truth" concerning her health situation, going on to post a video containing an explanation from her physician, Dr. Niño Gavino.

As caption she wrote, "Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng nagdasal for my recovery. Here’s the TRUTH as explained by my attending physician Dr. Niño Gavino, an exceptional Filipino American doctor based in Houston who successfully diagnosed what’s really wrong with my health."

Note that as of posting Kris is now on her way to Houston, USA, along with her kids, Joshua and Bimby.

She added, "I’ll miss you- my friends & followers very much. Time is now my enemy, naghahabol kami hoping na wala pang permanent damage to the blood vessels leading to my heart.

"So many people to thank but I choose to do that privately. #grateful

"For now and the next few years- sadly, it’s goodbye. Praying na kayanin ng katawan ko itong matinding pagsubok.

She ended, "Kahit 17 hours away na kami nila kuya josh & bimb to fly to & the Pacific Ocean separates the (Philippines) from (the US), I’d still like to end this with #lovelovelove

In the video, Gavino explained how they are trying to treat Kris acting as fast as they can noting how her condition can cause "permanent damage to the heart, lungs, kidneys."

According to Gavino, Kris will try new treatments for Eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) while in Houston inasmuch as her body didn't took to corticosteroids that well.

Gavino also shared that Kris will have to undergo more tests while there including their plans to rule out Lupus as among her problems even as he attested to Kris exhibiting symptoms relating the same -- "butterfly rash, joint paints and swelling."

He added, "The subsequent 9-12 months will be crucial for us to see if she can achieve remission and continue the regimen further because to survive, Ms. Aquino will have to make whichever combination works, her lifetime maintenance medicine."
