Here are the shows and movies we are excited to stream on Netflix this June

June already? We can’t believe we are now halfway through our 2022 journey. And while in the past months, many things have changed—adapting to a hybrid work setup, the opening of international boundaries, and an upcoming change in government—what remains the same is our addiction to streaming good shows on different platforms, one of which is Netflix.

If you’re still on a “Stranger Things” high after the release of Part I of its fourth season, you may have to wait for a while as its final installment is set to come out in July. In the meantime, here are some of movies and TV series we suggest you don’t miss this June.

‘Hustle’

A way to celebrate Pride Month, this series presents a star-crossed romance between Juliette, a secret vampire, and Calliope, a new student born to a family of monster hunters.

‘Spiderhead’

Release date: June 17

Featuring stars Chris Hemsworth, Miles Teller, and Jurnee Smollett, “Spiderhead” centers its story on prisoners grappling with their pasts in a state-of-the-art penitentiary run by a brilliant visionary who experiments on his subjects with mind-altering drugs.

‘Springgan’

‘Springgan’

Release date: June 18

Based on the 1980 manga written by Hiroshi Takashige and illustrator Ryōji Minagawa. “Springgan” is an anime about an ancient civilization's relics on that hold dangerous powers. Tasked to keep them safe are ARCAM Corporation's Spriggan agents.

‘The Umbrella Academy’

‘The Umbrella Academy’ season 3

Release date: June 22

The third season of the hit series will all be about the newest time-travel-induced mystery that surrounds the Sparrow Academy, Hotel Oblivion, and the upcoming Kugelblitz caused by The Umbrella Academy.

‘Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area’

Release date: June 24

“La casa de papel,” which has captured global viewers’ hearts and created a devoted fandom, is now reborn in Korea with a different setting in the Joint Economic Area, where the Korean Peninsula faces reunification.
