Tulfo pledges support on PBBM’ OFWs, healthcare frontliners concerns

Senator Raffy Tulfo assured President Ferdinand ‘’Bongbong’’ R. Marcos Jr. of his judicious cooperation in terms of legislation.

Tulfo gave the assurance after congratulating the new Chief Executive on his official assumption into office as the country’s 17th President at noon today.

‘’I agree with the inaugural address of the President, especially on what he said about the plight of workers, especially OFWs (Overseas Filipino Workers) and energy resources to meet our needs,’ he added,

Tulfo was expected to be the chairman of the Senate energy committee in the upcoming 19th Congress.

‘’I will match his pledge of “no excuses” with legislation and public service. I believe this is what our country needs to be able to cope with the hardships brought about by the pandemic,’’ he said.

''In the 19th Congress, our response to President Marcos Jr. will be specific actions in terms of bills on OFWs, healthcare frontliners, implementation of universal health care, and reforms and efficiency at PhilHealth. I will push for more international agreements protecting our migrant workers all over the world, so our OFWs’ welfare will be advanced,’’ he added.
