Duterte won't attend Marcos Jr. inauguration, returns home to Davao

Outgoing President Duterte will not be attending the inauguration ceremony of incoming President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and will immediately return home.

Duterte will fly home to Davao after his departure honors in Malacañang, according to outgoing National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon Jr.

He will return home via commercial flight, Esperon added.

Duterte capped his six-year presidency on Thursday, June 30, after welcoming Marcos Jr. at the presidential Palace.
