Marcos took oath as the Chief Executive at the National Museum of the Philippines on Thursday, June 30.

“We are extremely confident that under his guidance and leadership, the government will pursue effective ways to address the challenges the country is facing, such as COVID-19 and its economic fallout, and unabated fuel price hikes and rising inflation triggered by the Russia-Ukraine conflict,” Herrera said on June 30, immediately after Marcos took oath.

“President Marcos campaigned on bringing people together, working across the aisle and uniting our nation. It is highly important that he delivers on that promise. We look forward to working with President Marcos and his administration, and the 19th Congress. As with every administration, there will be areas where we can agree and work closely together,” she continued.

“The Marcos administration can count on us for unwavering support in pushing for much-needed and meaningful laws that would be beneficial to our countrymen, particularly those that would further promote the welfare and rights of women and children; empower the micro-small and medium enterprises or MSMEs; and champion consumer protection, efficient internet, and economic recovery,” Herrera concluded.

Herrera is the lone representative of the Bagong Henerasyon Party-list in the 19th Congress, which will legislate under the Marcos administration.
