Raymond Gutierrez now in a relationship: 'There's nothing to hide'

Raymond Gutierrez revealed in a recent interview with Wil Dasovich that he has found love while in Los Angeles, California.
He shared, "In January I did meet someone and we're taking it a little bit more seriously. And yeah, we are in a relationship."
Wil, caught off guard, blurted, "Oh my, you just dropped that like that - boyfriend reveal. I didn't know you were gonna say that."
Raymond replied: "There's nothing to hide. What is there to hide, you know, what I mean?"
Carla Humphries, who was also present, joined in the conversation.
She said: "Honestly, I'm so happy that you know, everyone gets to see the progress that Mon has made out here (abroad). I've been one of his number one, like, cheerleaders - coming out and making, building a life for himself here. And it's so trippy to finally see that we're at the point that we can look back. That we're past that hump of, like, transition and he's in a relationship."
Asked if he has posted anything relating to his love life on social media, Raymond shared he has yet to do so.
"I feel like the launch or the boyfriend reveal - I don't know, I mean, nothing against your posts - but, like, no. Honestly, I feel like it's because you're both in the public eye so it's okay. But he's not, so I have to respect that about him."
Raymond appreciates it that his partner doesn't like the attention.
"You know, he barely posts. I actually encourage him to post on his private social media. So, yeah, I like that he's private."
Raymond then asked Wil and Carla how he should "launch" his relationship online.
Wil answered: "I would just say keep it quiet as long as possible. So that by the time you launch it's not that big of a deal or something."
The vlogger, whose breakup with gamer Alodia Gosengfiao became gossip fodder, admitted, "When I'm in headlines and then even if it's something that's good, it like freaks me out for whatever. Attention freaks me."
Carla couldn't agree more, relating how it's so hard to be in a committed relationship amid a sea of opinions.
"Because you don't have the freedom to, like, just nurture and make mistakes and, like, learn from each other," she said. "People don't know what goes on behind closed doors. So and I feel, like, if you really value something, you want to make sure that it stays pristine."
Raymond admitted he has been single for a while before meeting the guy.
He related, "Dating in the Philippines is very tough."
"And, you know, you get confused, like, 'What are the intentions, what do they want out of it,'" he said.
"Also for the longest time, like, I wasn't in public about my sexuality so it was very difficult. Obviously, I was dating people quietly but, yeah, I was single for a long time before coming here."
"I don't know if I'm just like extra choosy or extra picky or also maybe I wasn't ready. You know, so, maybe it was that. Like, maybe I just wanted to have fun."
