K-pop group Kep1er member lands in hospital

A member of K-pop girl group Kep1er was taken to the hospital on June 2 due to her health condition.

“Currently, Chaehyun of Kep1er is getting treated at the hospital due to an unexpected condition failure considered to be caused by too much tension from the competition while she has been practicing to present the best performance for the final stage of today,” said agencies Wake One and Swing Entertainment in a notice released on June 2.

Kep1er participated in the “Queendom 2,” a music competition, against Brave Girls, Hyolyn, Viviz, WJSN and Loona. The finale aired on June 2.

“Chaehyun is strong-willed to get better in order to participate in the final stage of , while being concerned about the damage she may have caused for her team,” the agencies said.

They added, “Therefore, the members, agency and the producers are adjusting the schedule to allow her to participate in the final stage performance after a thorough discussion but please be noted that schedules other than the performance on the calendar today has been canceled owing to unavoidable circumstances.”

“We ask for the fans and the production team's generous understanding,” they said.

Kep1er debuted last January and is composed of nine members.
