Central Luzon cops arrest 3,629 drug suspects, seize illegal drugs worth P81-M in first five months of 2022
CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga -- Central Luzon cops have seized more than P81 million worth of illegal drugs during their tenacious region wide campaign from January 1 to June 1, 2022.
Police Regional Office-Reg 3 regional director Brigadier General Matthew P. Baccay said that the police carried out 2,659 operations that resulted in the confiscation of 9,742.97 grams of shabu with Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) value of more than P66 million and approximately 132,000 grams of marijuana with estimated value of nearly P16 million.
The Central Luzon cops have also arrested 3,629 drug suspects during that period under ‘Oplan Double Barrel,’ flagship program of President Duterte.
“As we continue our campaign against illegal drugs, we will also keep on focusing on our barangay drug clearing operations to achieve our goal of a drug-free region,” stressed B/Gen Baccay.
Meanwhile, a-32-year-old fugitive listed in the DILG Most Wanted Person–National Level was arrested by authorities in Maria Aurora, Aurora the other day.
Police identified the arrested person as Noel Laroya, 32, a resident of Brgy. Wenceslao, Maria Aurora, Aurora. Laroya was listed in the category of National Most Wanted Persons.
Laroya was arrested by intelligence and warrant personnel of Maria Aurora Police Station Aurora 1st PMFC, Maritime Group-Aurora, EOD K9-Aurora, CIDG-Aurora, and RID3 by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Alejandria B. Javier-Genota, Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court Branch 1-FC, Baler, Aurora for the crime of rape in relation to R.A. 7610.
