Police Regional Office-3 deploys 300 personnel for President-elect Marcos' inauguration in Manila

PAMPANGA -- Police Regional Office 3 fielded nearly 300 Philippine National Police personnel for Civil Disturbance Management (CDM) operation for the inauguration of President-elect Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. on Friday, June 30.

The contingent troops are from the Regional Mobile Force Battalion, Aurora, Bataan and Zambales Police Provincial Offices, and from Angeles and Olongapo City Police Offices.

They are to help ensure peace and order and public safety at the National Museum, Manila.

Aside from the augmentation troops to be sent out, Reactionary Standby Support Force composed of more than 200 PNP personnel from the different Provincial Police Offices were also organized on stand-by in their respective units ready to be deployed on orders as the need arises.

Likewise, intensified anti-criminality and focused police operations as well as stern implementation of checkpoints are being undertaken by all police units within the region to prevent any eventualities during said event.

PRO3 Regional Director Brigadier Gen. Matthew P Baccay has been sending augmentation troops during national events as part of the overall security preparations of the PNP to guarantee the smooth flow of the activities.

He urged his personnel to observe ‘maximum tolerance’ and to ensure they respect the human rights of protesters who are again expected to hold rallies when President Marcos is sworn into office.

“I have also ordered for the intensified conduct of checkpoint operations particularly along major thoroughfares to ensure the maintenance of peace and order during said event,” added Baccay.
