Over 249 top graduates of UCC receive cash gifts from Caloocan City gov't

The Caloocan City government distributed cash gifts to Latin honor graduates of the University of Caloocan(UCC) on Tuesday, June 28, at Caloocan Sports Complex.

The recognition was led by Mayor-elect Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan together with outgoing Mayor Oscar “Oca” Malapitan during the 48th commencement exercises of UCC.

Around 166 cum laude and 18 magna cum laude from the North campus, 58 cum laude and six magna cum laude from the South campus were recognized.

A P5,000 cash gift was awarded to cum laude while magna cum laude got P10,000.

Mayor Oca Malapitan promised to continue initiating measures for quality education in his return to Congress.

Meanwhile, Mayor-elect Along Malapitan vows to uphold his vision of making tertiary education more accessible in Caloocan, including building of new campuses in the city university and establishing the new Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP)-Caloocan North.

“You will now help shape our city, I am proud to be working alongside with you, let’s leave a better Caloocan for the next generation,” said Mayor-elect Along.
