Navotas City declares June 30 a special non-working holiday for Marcos inauguration


The Navotas City government has declared June 30 a special non-working holiday to give way to the inauguration of President-elect Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.

Though Executive Order No. LTMT-067 Series of 2022 signed by outgoing Mayor Tobias "Toby" Tiangco, the day was declared a holiday to lessen the inconvenience of the public due to road closures and possible protests of some groups.

The order also aims to ensure the safety of the residents and government employees.

The city government said that its Task Force Disiplina, the Philippine National Police Navotas, City Traffic and Management Office and other offices may assist in the implementation of the order as well as security measures.

The inauguration of President-elect Bongbong Marcos as the 17th president of the Philippines will be held at the National Museum in Manila on Thursday, June 30.
