LENTE launches #BSKE2022PushNaYarn Tiktok dance challenge

As part of its #NoToBSKE2022Postponement campaign, poll watchdog Legal Network for Truthful Elections (LENTE) on Tuesday, June 28, launched the #BSKE2022PushNaYarn Tiktok dance challenge.

The LENTE urged the youth to take part in the dance challenge as it seeks to amplify its campaign across social media platforms.

“Umindak sa tugtog ng kampanya upang ituloy na ang Barangay and SK Elections sa December 2022 (Dance to the groove of the campaign to push for the Barangay and SK Elections in December 2022)!,” the election watchdog said.

“Sabayan lamang ang musika gamit ang Tiktok account ng LENTE @lentephilippines at palakasin pa ang ating panawagan (Just dance to the music using the Tiktok account of LENTE @lentephilipoines and let’s further strengthen our call).”

It reminded the participating youth to use the following hashtags when posting on social media: #NoToBSKE2022Postponement and #BSKE2022PushNaYarn.

Some groups have been pushing for another suspension of the BSK polls. To recall, a House bill seeking to postpone the BSKE and move it to May 2024 has been filed.

Many progressive groups have been pushing for the conduct of the BSK polls for the public to practice their right to suffrage on the barangay level.

In December 2019, Pres. Duterte signed the law moving the barangay and SK elections from May 2020 to December 2022.
