Guico sworn in, vows progress, dev’t in Pangasinan

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – Governor-elect Ramon Guico III vowed progress and development in this province in a speech in his inauguration attended by hundreds of supporters at the Sison Auditorium here Wednesday, June 29.

Earlier in the day, he had a meeting with partners and investors from around the world.

One of the biggest investments tackled is the proposed new facility for the manufacturing of electric vehicle charging stations, lithium ferro phosphate batteries, and battery energy storage systems in Bayambang, Pangasinan.

Guico signed a memorandum of agreement with the Gr8 Seas Holdings Inc. and Sahi Technologies on the day of his inauguration.

He also spearheaded an exploratory meeting for the Pangasinan Eastern-Western Expressway which will cut the travel time from eastern to western Pangasinan and further enrich the tourism industry in the province.

Guico met renowned architect Felino “Jun” Palafox, along with incumbent Bayambang Mayor Dr. Cezar T. Quiambao, regarding the proposed master plan for Pangasinan.

The governor-elect discussed with the heads, chiefs, and doctors of public hospitals several techniques and solutions on how to solve concerning health issues faced by Pangasinenses.

In his inauguration speech, Guico said his priorities are employment, higher salaries for workers, farm mechanization, scholarships and assistance to the youth, establishment of more economic zones, protection of the environment, and strengthening of the tourism sector.

Guico served as Binalonan mayor and fifth district representative and is the 31st governor of Pangasinan.
