Decomposing, headless body found in Zamboanga City island

ZAMBOANGA CITY – The decomposing and headless body of a man was found in Barangay Landang Gua, Sacol Island, Zamboanga City Monday, June 28.

A Police Regional Office (PRO)-9 report identified the victim as Ibnohasim Turabi Hamid, 37, a resident of the island.

Hamid’s body bore hack wounds and was in a state of decomposition when found by island residents. His head was found near his body.

The victim was believed to have died four days ago, the same day he was reported missing by family members.

Police are continuing their investigation of the incident.
