The launch of Angat Buhay NGO, the brainchild of Robredo when she becomes a private citizen, will be held at her Volunteer Center along Katipunan Ave. in Quezon City and will run from July 1 to 2.

Robredo will step down from office at noon of June 30. She will be succeeded by incoming Vice President Sara Duterte.

In its two-day run, she said the event will feature some of the pink memorabilia and artworks she received during the election campaign.

“For those who will not be able to join us, we will be setting up a live streaming link so that everyone can be part of this exciting new adventure for Angat Buhay,” Robredo said in a Facebook post.

In the last episode of Robredo’s radio show on Sunday, June 26, she asked permission from artists, who gave her paintings and artworks throughout the campaign period, to put them on an exhibit for fundraising for the NGO.

Robredo noted that she received 987 paintings when she ran for president in last month’s national elections.

“Iyong lahat po na mga nagbigay, parang ito po iyong contribution niyo sa Angat Buhay. Sayang kasi na ilalagay lang sa bodega na masisira lang o matagal na panahong walang nakakakita. Gusto nating i-share sa iba (To those who gave me artworks, these can be your contribution to Angat Buhay. It will be a waste if we only put it to a warehouse where it will just get damaged or no one can see it for a long time. We want to share it to others),” she said.

“Kasi napaka-heartbreaking na bitawan iyong iba, pero tingin kasi namin, ito iyong best way para nalalagay sa prominent place iyong mga binigay nila sa atin (It’s very heartbreaking to get rid of the others, but we think this the best way to put what they gave us in a prominent place),” Robredo added.
