Man shot dead by riding-in-tandem in Caloocan City

A man was gunned down by two unidentified suspects on board a motorcycle in Barangay 176, Bagong Silang, Caloocan City on Monday evening, June 27.

The Caloocan City Police Station identified the victim as Ricardo Ferol, 44, a resident of the said barangay.

Col. Samuel Mina, CCPS chief, told the Manila Bulletin that the victim’s companion, Norane Vargas, 27, asked for their help after Ferol was suddenly shot by two armed men riding-in-tandem who approached them while they were standing along Phase 8-B, Lot 10, in Barangay 176 at around 11:15 p.m. The victim was declared dead-on-the-spot.

A follow-up operation is being conducted by the CCPS to identify the suspects and their motive.

Mina said Ferol was formerly detained for illegal drugs. Vargas is currently under police custody.
