The Commission on Higher Education (CHED), together with the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges National Capital Region, and the Philippine Normal UNiversity (PNU), on Tuesday, June 28, officially launched the four-day SUC Fair 2022 at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Music Hall.

This year’s theme was #WeAreSUC: Sustained Excellence, United Efforts, and Competitive Standards. While the event particularly aims to showcase the excellence of featured SUCs across the country through research and innovation, it likewise intends to promote entrepreneurship, culture, as well as arts for national development and global competitiveness..

“We did not stop our education, I know it was a difficult two years, but because of the leadership and perseverance, the students continued learning this whole time. Today we are here because we wanted to show another aspect of our state universities and college expertise,” said CHED Chairperson Prospero “Popoy” De Vera III during the opening program of this year’s SUC Fair.

“In 2020, we held the first SUC Fair at TriNoma. We wanted to show the public that our state universities don’t only produce brilliant students, they also produce sumptuous products, tasty wines, and other products and it was a success,” he furthered.

The SUC Fair 2022 will run until July 1, 2022, said CHED.
