'First Lady' airs highly-anticipated finale this Friday

After months of spreading good vibes and winning the hearts of viewers, GMA Network’s top-rating primetime series ‘First Lady’ is set to air its much-awaited finale this Friday, July 1.

The original drama stars the swoon-worthy pairing of award-winning actor Gabby Concepcion as President Glenn Acosta and multitalented Kapuso actress Sanya Lopez as First Lady Melody Acosta.

As the series draws to a close, Gabby admits that the lock-in taping brought the whole cast closer to each other and he will surely miss their bonding, “Marami kaming fun memories together from day one until the last day of taping. Mami-miss ko ‘yong camaraderie, brotherhood and family bonding. We’ve developed true friendship talaga.”

Sanya, in turn, shares that she feels sad now that their series is about to end but is also excited with the new projects in store for her in the coming months, “Nakakalungkot siyempre. Mami-miss ko ‘yong tawanan at kulitan namin sa set. Nandiyan na ‘yong samahan at pagmamahal namin sa isa’t isa bilang pamilya. Pero excited kami sa mga bagong opportunity na darating sa mga buhay namin.”

Even the avid viewers and netizens are feeling the sepanx and wished that there would be a new chapter soon. On Instagram, fans clamor for Book 3, “Nakakalungkot isipin na magtatapos na kayo. Hoping na magkaroon ng book 3 dahil sobrang ganda at inspiring ng palabas na ito. Mahal ko kayo, First Lady family!”

Some also expressed their appreciation for the show, “Maraming salamat sa pagpapasaya sa amin. Mahal na mahal namin kayo, hindi lang kayo basta teleserye sa amin. Dahil sa inyo, laging masaya ang tahanan namin.”

Playing important roles in the primetime soap are Pancho Magno, Ms. Pilar Pilapil, Boboy Garovillo, Maxine Medina, Thou Reyes, Ms. Sandy Andolong, Rocco Nacino, Cassy Legaspi, JD Domagoso, Clarence Delgado, Patricia Coma, Isabel Rivas, Francine Prieto, Samantha Lopez, Shyr Valdez, John Feir, Divine, Kakai Bautista, Analyn Barro, Glenda Garcia, Cai Cortez, Thia Thomalla, Anjo Damiles, Jon Lucas, Jerick Dolormente, Muriel Lomadilla, Kiel Rodriguez,  Atak, Cecil Paz, and Ms. Alice Dixson.

In its final week, Edna (Sandy) and Blesilda (Pilar)were held captive by Allegra’s (Isabel)men after theytraced her whereabouts. Will Edna and Blesilda be able to escape? Will Allegra be held accountable for all the evil things she has done?

The election day is approaching when Melody (Sanya) and Glenn (Gabby)get into a heated argument over who must run for president. Glenn believes that Melody can be a great leader, but Melody hopes that PGA will be re-elected. 

Meanwhile, Melody receives good news that she is pregnant. But just when the situation is getting better, Melody will be involved in an accident.Can Melody and her baby survive? Will the accomplices of Allegra pay for their wrongdoings? 

Aside from all these revelations and plot twists, Kapuso fans must also watch out for the special participation of various Kapuso stars and the three new Yayas in the much awaited finale of the drama series.
