Comelec offices in Manila to implement WFH schedule from June 28 to 29

Commission on Elections (Comelec) offices in Manila will be implementing a work-from-home schedule from June 28 to 29.

The poll body said this was due to the road closures and heightened security measures implemented by the Philippine National Police within the City of Manila starting on June 27 in relation to the June 30 Presidential Inauguration.

Set to implement WFH schedule during the said days are the Comelec Main Office, Offices of the Regional Election Director for National Capital Region, Region 4A and Region 4B, as well as in the Office of the Election Officer, City of Manila.

The Comelec said work in said offices shall likewise be suspended on June 30, in view of City of Manila Executive Order No. 53 (Series of 2022) declaring the aforementioned day as a special non-working holiday throughout the Capital City.

"While physical (face-to-face) frontline services in said offices are suspended from June 27 to 30, 2022, the public is assured of the Commission’s continued delivery of services, with online meetings, online hearings as well as online transactions and other online works to continue on said dates unhampered," Comelec Acting Spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco said in a statement.
