Bayambang's first female mayor to take her oath Tuesday


BAYAMBANG, Pangasinan -- Mary Clare Judith Phyllis ‘Nina’ Jose-Quiambao, wife of outgoing Mayor Dr. Cezar T. Quiambao, is expected to take her oath Tuesday June 28, 2022 at the Balon Bayambang Events Center.

She will officially become the first female Mayor of the Municipality of Bayambang, Pangasinan.

Joining Mayor Quiambao as head of the Legislative Department is Municipal Vice-Mayor lan Camille C. Sabangan, now also the very first Vice-Mayor of Bayambang.

“It still feels surreal that I will soon sit as the very first female Mayor of Bayambang. It feels like it was just yesterday when I was invited here as a guest. Now, Bayambang is my home and the Bayambangueños are my family,” posted Mayor Nina Jose-Quiambao on her Facebook account.

Mayor Nina was a former housemate in the ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition.”

“I can’t wait to be Mayor of this town and to serve my fellow Bayambangueños,” she added.

The 33-year-old sexy star received 41,685 votes in the race, while the second placer, Ricardo Camacho, only got 27,373 during May 9, 2022 election.

Quiambao as the mother of the town would like to end the cycle of poverty by addressing it from the roots.

By addressing the problem from its roots, she meant raising strong children, strengthening family ties, promoting health and wellness, inculcating positive values to the youth, ensuring food security, and giving better and brighter opportunities for parents to provide for their family's needs.

More of her programs will be announced during her oath taking ceremony.
