Tarlac town police underscore civic duty by teaching IP kids moral values

MAYANTOC, Tarlac – Police here on Friday, June 24, underscored their civic duty by teaching children of indigenous people in Sitio Calao, Barangay San Jose, this town under the “Pulis Ko, Teacher Ko” program.

Police taught the children how to read, write, and count, proper hygiene, values, patriotism, fear of God, and parental love.

Children also learned moral lessons from an educational short story shown in a film viewing.

Pulis Ko, Titser Ko is founded on a Biblical doctrine that says, “Train a child in the way he should go and when he grows up he will not depart from it.”

It also aims to develop positive perception in the minds of the youth about law and order to enable them to become an integral part of nation building process when they grow up.

The Mayantoc police are led by Capt. Mark Marvin T. Ugale, officer-in-charge.

Pulis Ko, Titser Ko is a strategic school-based crime awareness project of Philippine National Police (PNP) and Department of Education (DepEd).
