Comelec to deactivated voters: Online reactivation to end July 19

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) said voters who wish to reactivate their registration online for the December 2022 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections have until July 19 to do so.

"For online filing of application for reactivation... all applications shall be received by the Office of the Election Officer through its official email address not later than July 19, 2022 (Tuesday) at 5 pm," the poll body said in Resolution No. 10798.

Online applications include those for reactivation; reactivation with transfer of registration within or correction of entries; reactivation with transfer within and correction of entries; and reactivation with updating of records of Senior Citizen and Persons with Disabilities.

For all other types of voter registration applications such as registration, transfer, change/corrections of entries in the registration records, reactivation of registration records, inclusion of registration records and reinstatement of name in the list of voters, and transfer of registration records from foreign post to local, it

will run from July 4 to 23.

The Comelec earlier announced that the continuing voter’s registration will resume on July 4.

Applications, the poll body said, must be personally filed at the Office of the Election Officer (OEO) of the city/municipality, where the applicant resides, during office hours, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Mondays to Saturdays, including holidays.

To ensure wider voter participation, the Comelec asked OEOs to conduct satellite registration of voters within the city/municipality, during the first week of registration period.
