Rivero is set to suit up for the Taoyuan Pilots in the P.League+, becoming the first Filipino to play as a world import in Taiwan.

The 24-year-old Rivero, as confirmed by his agency Virtual Playground, has joined the likes of former collegiate stars in Justine Baltazar, SJ Belangel, and RJ Abarrientos to play abroad after the 8th season of the UAAP.

The former University of the Philippines guard averaged 13.78 points, 4.17 rebounds, and 2.17 assists in his last playing year in the UAAP.

Rivero, a two-time UAAP champion, also helped the Fighting Maroons end their 36-year title drought with a 2-1 Finals win against the Ateneo Blue Eagles.

This time in Taiwan, the Ilagan, Isabela native cager hopes to provide for the Pilots, who ended up at rock-bottom with a 7-22 record last 2021-22 season.

The Taipei Fubon Braves were the first and latest champions of Taiwan's P.League+. ###
