Parañaque Mayor Olivarez distributes e-trikes to villages, subdivisions

Ten villages and subdivisions in BF Homes received e-trikes that will be used to improve mobility and enhance peace and order in communities.

Mayor Edwin Olivarez said the distribution of electric vehicles to all villages and subdivisions in 16 barangays of the city is part of the “E Trike for Law and Order” campaign.

The campaign was launched early this year to augment the mobility and security of residents during the pandemic.

“We are happy to continue this program to benefit more of our constituents because we recognize the importance of transport and security in our communities, especially during emergencies,” Olivarez said during the turnover of e-trikes.

“It is also very timely because aside from being environment-friendly, these e-trikes do not use fossil fuels which we know are very expensive today,” the mayor added.

The distribution of e-trikes is being supervised by the External and Homeowners’ Affairs Office (EHAO) under Eva Nono and the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) led by Bernie Amurao.

Aside from the presidents of the recipient homeowners’ associations (HOAs), those who attended the turnover ceremonies held at the BFFHAI Park include Mayor-elect Eric L. Olivarez and several incoming members of the City Council.

The city government has already distributed around 200 e-trikes since the start of the program.
