Man found dead on roadside in Negros

BACOLOD CITY – An unidentified man was found dead on the roadside of Hacienda Mana-ul, Barangay Matab-ang, Talisay City, Negros Occidental Friday, June 24.

Police Lt. Marion Vincent Buenaflor, deputy police chief of Talisay City, said the half-naked victim was hogtied with a packaging tape while his face was covered with a cloth while lying on its side.

A motorist who passed by the area found the victim around 12:55 a.m. and reported the grim discovery to the nearby police post.

Police believed that the victim may have been shot and killed in the area as some fired bullets were recovered from the crime scene.

Buenaflor said the victim has tattoos in the body, stands 5’4,” and between 20- to 30-years-old.

Police are awaiting the family or relatives of the victim to confirm his identity.
