Gov't gave people quality infra projects — PRRD​

Outgoing President Duterte said Friday his administration managed ​to bring "quality infrastructure projects" to the Filipino people in the past six years.

In his message on the 124th founding anniversary of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Duterte said he recognized the department's accomplishments in terms of improving mobility and welfare of the people.

"Given your drive for sustained excellence, this administration has fulfilled its promise to bring quality infrastructure projects that will withstand the test of time and make the various regions of our nation easier to access and connect."

Duterte said the government's goal to "accelerate" and "decentralize progress" was made possible by the DPWH because of its efforts "to make our infrastructure and road systems safe, efficient and reliable in both urban and rural areas."

Duterte also attributed the "robust" economy to the development of the country's routes "that connect us."

"The infrastructure projects expedited travel, decongested traffic and brought more opportunities all over the country," he said.

Duterte said the department must realize that it "continue to create ripple effects on other sectors to deliver our social services most effectively."

"May the succeeding years bring you more wisdom to navigate our future and introduce further improvement for the best of everyone," the President told DPWH.
