Big Hit Music addresses rumors that BTS' RM is getting married

Is BTS’ RM getting married?

A YouTube channel uploaded a video on June 23 with the title “ Married soon, witnessed by Korean community in the U.S.”

The channel based the rumors on a post on a Korean online mall based in the US. The YouTube channel claimed that a person said, "I recently received a message from a good friend of mine, who is 7 years younger than me, that she is marrying RM," SBS News reported.

"She graduated from a prestigious college, and is from a well-off family. As far as I know, she met RM at a fan meeting between 2014 and 2015," the person added.

After the video came out and the rumors started spreading, Big Hit Music, BTS’ agency, released a statement to address it.

"The rumors are completely groundless. Our company has continuously been taking measures against malicious YouTube content," Big Hit Music said. RM is 27 years old.

The marriage rumors about RM came out after BTS announced on June 14 that they were taking a break from group activities and focusing on their solo projects.

Big Hit Music said BTS will not be going on hiatus.
