P720K shabu seized in Las Piñas buy-bust

Two drug suspects tagged by the police as high value individuals (HVI) were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by members of the Las Piñas city police on Thursday, June 23.

Col. Jaime Santos, city police chief, identified the suspects as Renald Manzala alias "Adoy," 40; and Francis Villanueva, 45, a driver, both residents of Las Piñas City.

Santos said the suspects were arrested around 6 a.m. at Purple Road, Gatchalian Subdivision, Barangay Manuyo during a buy-bust operation.

He said they were able to confiscate from the suspects 106 grams of shabu worth P720,000 placed inside two sachets.

The police also recovered the P1,000 used as buy-bust money and nine pieces of boodle money.

The city police chief said the suspects are now detained at the Las Piñas police custodial facility and charged for illegal possession of drugs.
