Duterte tells uniformed personnel: Shoot druggies dead, don't worry about killing even innocent ones

Outgoing President Duterte on Thursday urged uniformed personnel to continue his fight against illegal drugs and encouraged them to shoot the drug personalities dead.

Duterte also assured police officers as well as the members of the Philippine Coast Guard and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology not to worry if they get to kill the innocent ones because he will be on their side as a lawyer.

"Kaya tulong tulong... Fight them, and if in the course of the gunfight you are on the verge of losing your life, you shoot the idiot dead," he said during the awarding ceremony of Madayaw Residences units in Davao City.

Even if no longer a president or a mayor, Duterte said he will help these men get past the law once they face legal consequences "in the performance of duty."

"Tutulungan ko kayo maski saan. Abogado ako, ilulusot ko kayo... Makapatay kayong anim, lima dyan. Iba iba ang matamaan pati inosente, do not worry. That is part of the territory of fighting," he said.
