2 drug suspects yield P680K shabu in Caloocan sting

The Drug Enforcement Unit of Caloocan City Police seized from two alleged drug dealers some P680,000 worth of shabu in an entrapment operation Thursday afternoon, June 23.

Police identified the suspects as Raymond Ejara,36, a resident of Bagong Silang, Caloocan City, and Arlene Gaspang,24, of Cabuyao, Banaybanay, Laguna.

The buy-bust operation was conducted on Kaagapay Road in Barangay 176, Caloocan at around 1:30 p.m.

Recovered from the suspects were one medium heat-sealed plastic sachet containing 100 grams of alleged shabu, a P500 bill, 37 pieces of P1,000 bill, one .38-caliber pistol, and three pieces of live ammunition.

The suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and Republic Act 10591 (illegal possession of firearms and ammunition), police said.
