The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on Monday, June 20, provided more than 30 policemen with shelter inside the police headquarters' compound in Camp Karingal, in Quezon City.
The QCPD Shelter Board’s goal is to help and give our personnel the opportunity to save and invest on their future),” QCPD Director Brig. Gen. Remus Medina said.
A total of 32 police officers applied and were given the opportunity to stay in the condominium-type shelter for five years.
The QCPD said the qualification of the policemen who applied for the shelter program was thoroughly reviewed by the QCPD Shelter Board led by Deputy Director for Administration Col. Fernando Ortega.
It added that those who qualified will have to follow new standards such as the stricter enforcement of their obligations to maintain the reputation of the facility and the QCPD.
This initiative is aimed at helping our staff have decent living quarters while they are assigned to QCPD)," Medina said.
