Parañaque City Treasurer Anthony Pulmano turned over to Mayor Edwin Olivarez the book which he published summarizing the accomplishments and realization of the mayor's goal of good governance.

Pulmano, who authored the book entitled “ Pamana ni Kuya: The Dawn of Recovery of Parañaque,” was received by Olivarez on Monday, June 20.

The city treasurer said he wrote the book while he was at the hospital for one month and recovering from Covid-19.

Pulmano said the book contains articles and photos of Olivarez while he was working as the city's chief executive for nine years.

The contents of the book include: elevating education; empowering the women and youth; servicing the senior citizens; developing housing and infrastructure; caring during the calamities; boosting the livelihood and industry; promoting tourism; enhancing public service, intensifying safety and security; protecting the environment, prioritizing the health, and responding to pandemic.

Pulmano reported that in 2019, when Olivarez assumed office as the city's chief executive, the city had a total of P35-million debt.

He said the Olivarez implemented efficient collection of revenues and prudent spending, a formula that made the city debt-free.
