National University flirts with history as it tries to preserve its immaculate record en route to a title-winning run against De La Salle in Game 2 of the UAAP women's volleyball Finals on Tuesday, June 21, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

After drawing first blood with a three-set romp last June 18, the Lady Bulldogs hope to close the series out against the Lady Spikers in their 6:30 p.m. encounter.
NU, which earned an outright Finals berth after dominating the elimination round, is on the cusp of achieving a rare 16-0 sweep and currently boasts 15 straight wins since the start of the season.
An Alyssa Valdez-led Ateneo was the last team to attain the feat after sweeping Season 77 en route to the UAAP title.
On top of that, NU only needs one victory to bag its first UAAP title in 65 years since Season 19.
Lady Bulldogs head coach Karl Dimaculangan said not much has to be changed aside from giving up easy points and committing costly errors. In Game 1, De La Salle had capitalized on the 25 points given up by NU off its errors.
"Tuloy lang namin 'yong ginagawa namin, 'yong energy namin, 'yong focus namin sa game, 'yong sistema namin," said Dimaculangan after their first Finals encounter. "Kung ano preparation namin, execution na lang kami palagi. 'Yong mindset din ng mga players is ready naman.
"Babalik na lang ulit kami pag dating sa court sa NU then prepare na ulit kami nang maayos before going sa Tuesday."

The victory was a product of total team effort as Camilla Lamina, the season's top setter, distributed the ball well to pave the way for Michaela Belen, Alyssa Solomon, Princess Robles, and Ivy Lacsina hit the double-digit mark.
The Lady Spikers, for their part, need to go back to the drawing board and regroup as Leila Cruz, already the highest scorer for the team, was limited to six points.
Star rookie Alleiah Malaluan, Fifi Sharma, and Jolina Dela Cruz, who were all limited to five points each, need to unleash their A game while Thea Gagate, the league's best blocker, was likewise checked the entire match.
