X-Factor Alumni and Little Mix member Perrie Edwards announced her engagement to her long-time boyfriend Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

"Last night, the love of my life got down on one knee and I said… YES!” Edwards wrote in the caption on Instagram.

The singer shared five photos of Alex proposing to her on a beach at sunset. Edwards has shown a surprise gesture as the professional footballer gets down on one knee.

She also shared a photo of her massive oval-cut diamond ring sitting on a gold band. Edward's band members Anne-Leigh Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall gave their best regards to the couple.

Edwards and Chamberlain’s engagement announcement comes nearly a year after they welcomed their first child together, a son named Axel, on Aug. 21, 2021.

After their engagement, Edwards took the time to wish his now fiancé a Happy Father's Day in her Instagram post.

“Happy first Father’s Day to the best Dadda Axel could ever wish for! ” the caption wrote.

The lovebirds first sparked dating rumors in November 2016, but reportedly waited to go public until January 2017.
