Korean actress Lee Hanee gives birth to first baby

Korean actress Lee Hanee (aka Honey Lee), star of the drama “One the Woman,” gave birth to her first baby.

“We bring you the good news that actress Lee Hanee gave birth to her daughter at a hospital somewhere in Seoul yesterday (June 20),” announced Saram Entertainment, her agency, on June 21.

It added, “Currently, both mother and child are healthy and resting in the family's celebration and care.”

“Thank you to everyone who watched with your warm support, and we ask for many blessings and support for actress Lee Hanee and her newborn child,” it added.

The 39-year-old actress, who won as Miss Korea in 2006, gave birth six months after getting married to her non-showbiz boyfriend last Dec. 21 without any announcement.

At the time, her agency said that due to the Covid-19 situation in Korea, Lee Hanee and her boyfriend held a small wedding vow ceremony where only their families attended instead of a wedding ceremony.

The ceremony was held just a month after she announced that she was dating a non-celebrity in November.

After the wedding, she revealed last January that she was four months pregnant.

"A precious life has come to actress Lee Ha-nee. She is currently in her fourth month of pregnancy and is due to give birth around June. We ask for your warm congratulations and blessings to actress Lee Hanee and her future child,” her agency said.

After winning Miss Korea in 2006, she represented her country at the 2007 Miss Universe beauty pageant where she won third runner-up.
