An official of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has expressed support to the proposal to limit the people entering airconditioned establishments to those who have a Covid-booster shot.
“At tuluy-tuloy pa rin iyong ating kampanya na talaga ang panlaban dito sa Covid-19 ay ang bakuna lang talaga (We are still continuing our information campaign that the vaccine is the only antidote to Covid-19),’’ DILG Undersecretary Martin Diño said.
He said that they are now concentrating on convincing the public to get their booster shots after completing their primary Covid-19 vaccines to further protect them against the virus.
“Actually, may order kami na tingnan ang lahat nang hindi pa nagpabakuna and at the same time engganyuhin sila na magpabakuna (we received orders to look for the unvaccinated individuals and convince them to get the vaccine),’’ he added.
The DILG official stated that health protocols are strictly enforced at the barangay level with strict compliance religiously monitored stressing that the country remains in a ‘state of public health calamity.’ (Chito A. Chavez)
