VNL Men's Leg fires off Tuesday

After getting a taste of world-class women’s volleyball, Filipinos will be treated with the men’s cream of the crop this time with the resumption of the Volleyball Nations League at the Smart Araneta Coliseum Tuesday.

Slovenia and the Netherlands raise the curtain at 3 p.m. while Argentina and Japan collide at 7 p.m. to jumpstart the weeklong affair.

Slovenia and the Netherlands hope to untangle themselves from a logjam with three others after toting identical 2-2 win-loss records for six points.

Japan, meanwhile, seeks to improve its 3-1 mark near the helm against Argentina, which holds a 1-3 card.

Eight teams are competing in this leg that also include Tokyo Olympics champion France, China, Germany and Italy.

China and France collide on Wednesday at 3 p.m., while Germany and Italy battle at 7 p.m. on the same day.

The United States is currently on top of the leaderboard with a 4-0 record, and is playing in Sofia, Bulgaria along with Australia, Canada, Iran, Bulgaria, Brazil, Poland and Serbia.
