The Department of Health (DOH) has recorded 3,051 new Covid-19 cases from June 13 to 19, having an average daily rate of 436 which is 82 percent higher compared to the recorded cases from June 6 to 12.

From June 6 to 12, the health department logged a total of 1,682 cases of Covid-19.
Of the 3,051 Covid-19 cases, 15 have been classified as severe and critical cases
As of June 19, the health department said 554 Covid-19 patients with severe and critical cases are admitted to hospitals.
The DOH said 385 intensive care unit (ICU) beds for Covid-19 patients have been occupied which is 14.6 percent of the 2,636 ICU beds.
Meanwhile, the health department said 18.2 percent of the 22,156 non-ICU Covid-19 beds are currently occupied.
DOH spokesperson Usec. Maria Rosario S. Vergeire recently said that the country is now seeing the “start of the peak in the number of cases.”
“Right now, what we are seeing is that the number of cases are continuously increasing especially here in the National Capital Region,” she said.
